What an amazing event to be held in our beautiful village. Korogoro Creek was spectacular! Thank you to the Hat Head Tri Club for donating funds from this event to the surf club. The money will go towards vital rescue equipment.
Congratulations to all our kids that competed over the weekend. They all did Hat Head Proud! Great bunch of kids that showed great Sportsmanship and encouraged each other all weekend. The conditions were hot and the surf was a bit rough but they all gave it a red hot go and didn’t let it rattle them. Super brave! Cape Hawke surf club put on a great event and a big thanks to all the officials that gave their time to make it happen. Thanks Jody Crilley for entering the kids and getting us sorted out. Very much appreciated. Congratulations to Cleo, Noah, Jayden and Darcy on your achievements and podium finishes. Special mention to Noah on receiving a great comment from offical’s on how he conducted himself in his beach sprint. It’s always amazing to place but to conduct yourself and be recognised with great sportsmanship is pretty special.
